Taylor Frankie Paul is suspected of being a scratcher and a former striker in two recent assaults, police said

A friend of Dakota Mortensen, the ex-boyfriend of “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Taylor Frankie Paul, called authorities last month to report her involvement in an alleged domestic violence incident, police records show.
The complaint from the Draper Police Department in Utah says the caller’s friend “is the victim of domestic abuse by an ex-girlfriend in his Draper neighborhood.” The incident, which reportedly took place between February 22 and February 23, was called on February 23.
The victim then told police about two incidents of assault, including grabbing, scratching, pushing and hitting, according to documents.
The report said that the victim “was afraid to report because of the exposure of people who were girlfriends.”
Police said photos of scratches on the victim’s neck, as well as a photo of the 911 call log, were included in the report, and the case remains under open investigation.
Representatives for Paul and Mortensen did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The highly-regarded report did not specifically name Mortensen as a victim, but NBC News previously reported that there was an open domestic violence investigation into Paul and Mortensen at Draper, with allegations on both sides, that was called on Feb. 24 and Feb. 25.
Draper police declined to share details about the ongoing investigation at the time, and it was unclear whether the friend’s allegations were part of a previously reported investigation or another.
Another open domestic violence investigation into Paul in West Jordan, Utah, alleges Paul assaulted Mortensen in 2024, a police spokeswoman told NBC News last week.
A spokesman declined to provide further details, including the date of the incident, citing an open investigation. But he noted that Mortensen told officials he was transferred to the West Jordan Police Department by the Draper Police Department because of the 2024 incident.
West Jordan police are reviewing several videos related to the alleged 2024 event for details and timelines, he said.
Paul was also charged in connection with a domestic violence incident involving Mortensen in 2023 — an arrest that starred the first episode of “Mormon Wives.”
Court records dating back to the February 2023 domestic violence incident show Paul pleaded guilty to aggravated assault later that year. Four other charges in the case — including assault, criminal mischief and domestic violence in the presence of a child — were dismissed with prejudice, records show.
TMZ released a video on March 19 that appeared to show Paul attacking Mortensen in that 2023 incident. That video led to ABC’s decision to pull Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette,” which was set to premiere on March 22.
Reports that Paul is involved in several open domestic violence investigations have led the cast of “Mormon Wives” to pause filming on Season Five of the popular Hulu reality series.
Cast members on “Mormon Wives” also raised concerns with ABC executives about Paul’s behavior ahead of reports of a new domestic violence investigation, according to audio of a March 7 call between the cast and executives, shared with NBC News.
Paul has yet to comment on the allegations, but told NBC News on March 19: “I’m going to have my truth.”
