NEW YORK — Global sports company PUMA unveiled its new national team kits for 11 countries at a street-level event in New York City’s Domino Square, putting soccer, music, food, and culture at the center of the game’s celebration. Rather than being presented in a stadium setting or a cinematic product film, PUMA chose to present live kits, worn first by local community players from each nation on the streets of New York.

Four continents are united under 11 countries: Portugal, Morocco, Ghana, Paraguay, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Czech Republic, Switzerland, New Zealand, Austria, and Egypt. This confirms PUMA’s position as the leading team in international football, dressing close to a quarter of all countries going to this summer’s biggest tournament, with African teams featuring more than any sports kit.

The event, centered around a series of custom-designed trucks, each representing PUMA’s 11 countries through visual identity, local food, music, and cultural artifacts – some created by artists from the communities themselves. Fans were able to see and wear the national jerseys before anyone else, as the kits were unveiled for the first time in the city’s stadium in an organized 4v4 tournament, run by NYC Footy.

Football legends Ricardo Quaresma (Portugal), Asamoah Gyan (Ghana), and El Hadji Diouf (Senegal) were there as representatives of their countries, connecting generations of the sport.

A live music corner gave the event a boost, tracking the sound from start to finish, including DJs representing several countries and a live performance by popular Ghanaian artist Black Sherif. Social media broadcaster Fanum and the Daily Paper Group (Jefferson & Abde) also joined as special guests.

The 2026 collection will be available from March 24th and this event marks the first public appearance of PUMA’s full national team kit range, featuring brand new ULTRAWEAVE technology and sweat-wicking dryCELL fabric throughout the jersey. The matching jerseys are produced using PUMA’s RE:FIBRE system, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to creating a reliable product.
